There are many reasons we are crushing on Nina. Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, She has graced the fashion industry since the early 1980’s. Currently, this amazing fashion journalist acts as Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Magazine, the #1 fashion magazine in the world!

However, she is better known as one of Project Runway’s stylish judges. You may have also seen her as an Oscar’s Red Carpet host or as a style expert on programs like Good Morning America, The View, Today and CNN.

She told USA TODAY on a 2017 interview that her Colombian heritage has helped her excel in the competitive world of fashion: “We are a culture that has a lot to offer, and we should be very proud of our heritage and own it and use it for the best.” 

Author of FOUR books on how to master the tools of style to achieve confidence, she shares some serious wisdom on The Little Black Book of Style: “Style comes from knowing who you are and who you want to be in the world; it does not come from wanting to be somebody else, or wanting to be thinner, shorter, taller, prettier.”
