If you suffer from excessive oil production, hyper pigmentation, acne/blemishes and uneven skin texture, welcome to the wonderful world of being Latina! We'd love to introduce you to Glycolic Acid. Oye, dramatica - put down the safety goggles. This isn't THAT kind of acid! We swear, a face wash made with this stuff is now your newest and truest BFF.

Dropping Knowledge: Glycolic Acid is an AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) that is naturally occurring, and with the smallest molecule size in the group, it able to penetrate skin deeply and easily. This means it is gentle enough for every day use yet strong enough to help with hyper pigmentation, acne, uneven skin texture and even wrinkles without making you look like "un tomate". Don't have all of these skin issues, just a few? Don't worry - Gylcolic helps with all these problems at once or individually.

Steps 1-3 : Make sure you wet your face with lukewarm water, then apply a very small amount on your face. Use your fingertips to massage the wash into your skin for about a minute before rinsing off and patting dry. This might take some getting used to, so use once or twice a week until your skin develops more of a tolerance.

Remember, your skin will be very sensitive while using this miracle wash, so make sure you include an SPF moisturizer in your regimen when you use this product.

Latinas, we deserve a collective pow-pow since we tend to skip the sunscreen due to our tendency to have naturally sun-kissed coloring. But, sunscreen protects from more than just sunburns and awkward tan lines. With an SPF moisturizer, you're getting the best of both worlds: protection from that beaming sun and giving you skin the hydration it needs. There is no better self-care than preventative care, so take 5 seconds to apply some on your face, neck and body before heading out for the day. Protect the future you against manchas, wrinkles and uneven skin texture with a good SPF moisturizer. You'll thank yourself in the years to come!

Be Choosy: Always make sure you pick up a sunscreen that specifies "broad spectrum" on the label to protect against UVB and UVA rays. We recommend at least SPF 30!

Less is NOT more: Make sure you apply at least Two (2) tablespoons of product. Apply 15 minutes before sun exposure.

Hold up, wait a minute: Nobody said self-care was easy! Appropriate sunscreen application means reapplication so set a timer to remind yourself to re-apply ever 2 hours when you're in the sun. Pro-tip: for outdoor protection, always go with "waterproof" or "sport" sunscreens. Sweat and water will wash away all of your sunscreen otherwise.

Te calmas or el sol te calma: Don't ever go to sleep caliente, there is nothing cute about a sunburn or age spots! Remember, sunscreen benefits include:

• Retains your skin's ability to produce collagen
• Reduces the risk of carcinoma developing
• Reduces discoloration
• Prevents fine lines and wrinkles

¡Pintame la carita, de la niña mas bonita! When you're working with a canvas, you want to make sure you have a clean, clear surface so that you can have the best results. As Elvis (Crespo not Presley) so kindly reminds us, your face is no different. Smooth primer on your face before applying any makeup to prep your canvas.

Like that time you tried to dance bachata: The first step is the hardest, but we promise you'll catch the rhythm! With so many different primers on the market, which one is the best? Well, it all depends on what you're looking for. There are colored primers to manage discoloration, there are silicone primers to fill in fine lines, and then there's our personal favorite: silicone-free primers.

Un tate-quieto for makeup meltdowns: After applying preliminary skincare products (serums & spf), squeeze a small amount of primer and distribute evenly throughout your face using your fingertips. For the natural mamasitas, you can leave as-is for optimized oil control and max hydration, or, you can move forward with your makeup application.

Remember that time you *insisted* on full coverage foundation on your all-girl's trip to Miami in the middle of July? Oof. We feel you! Like a cheeky bikini, a little bit of coverage goes a loooong way. Stop sleeping on SPF tinted moisturizer and start winning!

Cake face is cancelled: So, we like to think of SPF tinted moisturizer as every girl's personal little superhero. Aside from saving face, it helps you save time! Wake up, shower, get dressed, apply SPF tinted moisturizer, swipe on some mascara & you're out the door. ¡Lista!

Azucar Morena: Have difficulty choosing the right shade, especially online? Great thing about tinted moisturizer is it's versatility! Since formulas are typically a lot thinner, shades might appear limited, but they go a very long way.
